March 8, 2022 – Educational + Exclusive Incentive Experience
Hospitality Hot Seat
Education where YOU are the star! This 75-minute “talk show” session will be interactive and dynamic (including a live DJ!) bringing our “studio audience” attendees on stage to speak on questions and hot topics.
Program Goals & Outcomes:
- Principles of Design Thinking as it relates to Experience Design
- The WHY of attendee engagement and attendance – more than ever we have to understand why people say YES to our events and how to make the event truly “can’t miss”
- Peer to Peer Engagement - share innovations within event design to grow one another’s skill sets and ideas
- The well-being influence – How do we innovate within this space beyond rules and protocols?
- Culture and the future of work – How have we evolved as workplaces and individual contributors? What is the future of how we provide services and the way the works gets done internally?
Hospitality Hot Seat with Katie Bohrer, CEO and Founder of Onwardly
Katie has taken the 360-degree tour of the industry throughout her career! She has worked on all sides of the hospitality industry: event management, startup, global sales, creative agency, and event production. She was the Vice President of Meeting Design & Experience for ALHI, worked from Gaylord Hotels Event Management, to a third-party sourcing agency, to global sales with MGM Resorts Event Productions, and VP of Operations for a creative agency & event production company. Events are in her DNA.
Her work has named her… Connect’s “40 under 40”, Meetings Today’s “Meeting Trend Setter”, and Smart Meetings’ “Smart Women in Meetings - Innovator”. Katie is currently a member of the SITE Texas Chapter.
In July, 2021, Katie launched her own event design consulting company, Onwardly, where she serves as an event strategist and executive producer. Her company directs purpose-driven organizations in the experience design process to move their messages, goals, and intents of gatherings forward. Under the coaching arm, she speaks and trains hospitality professionals in innovative thinking, safe meeting design, finding purpose in your work, and mentors emerging leaders, passionately sharing her story and helping others write theirs.
