Join SITE SoCal and our panel of experts as we discuss the importance of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in the Meetings and Hospitality Industries. We look forward to gathering virtually for this special event.
We will dive into the fundamentals of DEI, how it impacts our everyday lives and workplaces, and what we can do to be more inclusive as an industry. Discussion will be led by SITE SoCal Planner Tammy Dickerson of The Baker Group to include a live Q&A with our experts, audience participation and real-life examples, and key takeaway on how to achieve a more inclusive environment professionally and personally.
We are excited to announce a new addition to our event. After our panelist discussion, we will hear a Closing Keynote Message “Power Through the People” from Sekou Andrews.
Sekou Andrews is a Grammy-nominated poet and creator of the “Poetic Voice” speaking category that provides a seamless marriage between spoken word poetry and inspirational speaking, like “Hamilton“ meets “TED”. His innovative speaking style blends powerful storytelling, business insight, thought leadership, and electric performance in a way that makes even the most conservative audiences surprise themselves with cheers, tears and standing ovations. Sekou creates a disruption in the virtual meeting fatigue that everyone is feeling these days, and debunks the idea that virtual content cannot be engaging. For SITE, Sekou will share how to harness the power of diversity to empower success through disruption. Sekou is a highly sought after keynote speaker available for both live and virtual events.
